3rd Annual Cover Crop Field Day and School
1 mile south of Bladen, NE
In addition to the general public free cover crop tour, this year we are
doing a full day, in-depth cover crop school, featuring Kristine
Nichols, USDA Soil Microbiologist from Mandan, ND.
Kristine has been a very popular speaker at no-till events and
will be showing how cover crops improve the soil and soil microbiology.
Other speakers include Dr. Ray Ward, Ken Miller, grazing expert,
and Paul Jasa, UNL Extension cover crop expert. Special invited guests
include Jill Clapperton of Earthspirit Consulting , Francis Yeatman from
South Africa and David Weaver of Cover Crop Solutions LLC.
The school will feature tours of demonstration plots of over 40
different cover crop species and mixes. We will also have demonstrations
and explanations of seeding rate trials, tissue sampling methods, cover
crop grazing, soil pit analysis and much more.
The cost for this school will be $150 per person and will be
limited to the first 125 people to register. Green Cover Seed customers
can attend FREE with a qualifying seed purchase.
